About Ozone
Ozone is a powerful oxidant and one of the most powerful disinfectants available in water treatment. As the ozone molecule and hydroxyl are so highly reactive with a large number of harmful substances, it can not only efficiently disinfect bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites, but also rapidly reduce ammonia nitrogen and kill e.coli etc. Without harmful by-products, the toxic substances in water such as metal ions, organic poisons, sulfides, cyanide, nitrite, and various pesticides can also be removed, as well as the color and the odor.
When the bacteria,viruses,spores or toxins are emitted mainly at a wavelength of 253.7nm by UV lamp,their DNA and structure are destroyed,rendering them unable to replicate and harmless. Based on different UV wavelength and dose delivery, UV is applied to residual chlorine removal, TOC degradation, ozone decomposition, and pool chlorine and ammonia decomposition.It also decomposes oxidants such as ozone, chlorine, or chlorine dioxide in the water for the food and pharmaceutical industries ,reducing the costs for activated carbon filters..
